Shelving System How to operate
To operate the shelving system, pack with the shelf fully extended at home.
1) Open the suitcase door 90 degrees.
2) Lift the shelf up and hang from the suitcase handle. This can be done two ways; hanging from the back pocket on the shelf, or hanging from the clip on strap.
3) Pack each shelf to 70% full.
4) To close, lower the shelf into the suitcase, compress into place, and close the suitcase.
When you arrive at your destination, simply reverse these steps!

Concept: I bought this suitcase specifically so I could make a trip where I'm staying in multiple locations without having to unpack and pack frequently. With this suitcase, I just pulled out the "closet," released the compression straps, and hung it in the hotel closet (or on a hook in the case of a ship's stateroom with no closet). Checking out was a matter of pulling the compression straps and dropping the closet back in the suitcase. All of my clothes were nicely organized, I could see everything, and compression was built-in for cramming it all back in the suitcase in under a minute. Design: The latches work easily and seem to make positive connections. Even with an overstuffed suitcase, the stress points seem to be engineered to hold well. Release of the latches with the pinch lever is very easy. I contrast this to other cases I've used where the latches are hard to close and open under stress. Build: The materials used a high quality. The plastic outer shell is light gauge, which keeps weight down but feels sturdy and does fine with the rough handling of airline baggage handlers. Problems: The first time I packed, I had the closet hanging from the handle, as shown in the promotional materials. As a last step I pulled down on the compression straps, and the left strap from the upper compartment to the lower compartment ripped out of the lower compartment. Within a couple of days the company sent me a replacement for the whole closet so customer service is 5-star. I realized it is better to lay the closet down on the floor to pull the compression straps. But this NEEDS A DESIGN CHANGE so that the compression straps pull UP instead of DOWN, so the load of pulling the straps is not transferred to any of upper straps holding the thing together. The latching mechanism is very attractive and appears to be anodized metal. The airline baggage handling managed to scratch it the very first trip. This is only cosmetic but the black anodization was nicked revealing the bright metal underneath, so it shows scratches easily . I love the look of the black but consider leaving it bright.

The wife and I take 1 trip a year and wanted a luggage to last and hold all of our combined belongings. I seen this on t.v. and bought it. We took a trip to Cabo San Lucas for a week and the closet insert fit all of our clothing without wrinkles! We were amazed! Super roomy and durable. I recently took a 2 day trip to Orlando for business so I took the closet insert out and used it in my carry on. Amazing how well this system works. Not one of my shirts or pair of pants needed to be ironed. I highly recommend this luggage.
