What does Solgaard’s Limited Lifetime Warranty cover for luggage?

Solgaard’s Limited Lifetime Warranty covers qualifying manufacturing defects in Solgaard luggage under normal use, including functional issues with wheels, handles, locking mechanisms, closure clasps, zippers, the outer shell, and missing rivets or screws.

The warranty does not cover cosmetic wear and tear, airline damage, accidental damage, lockouts, misuse, overpacking, excessive weight, commercial or rental use, or damage that does not affect the function of the luggage.

To start a luggage warranty claim, you’ll need your Solgaard order number and the email address used at checkout. If you purchased from an authorized retailer, valid proof of purchase is required.

Is airline damage covered by Solgaard’s luggage warranty?

No. Airline damage is not covered by Solgaard’s Limited Lifetime Warranty because it is not considered a manufacturing defect.

If your luggage is damaged during travel, please contact the airline or travel carrier first. We recommend filing a claim as soon as possible, ideally before leaving the airport. Airline damage may include bent frames, cracked shells from impact, crushed corners, punctures, or broken components caused by transit mishandling.

What does Solgaard’s 30-day trial include, and when does it start?

Solgaard’s 30-day trial allows you to return eligible luggage within 30 days of receiving your order if it is not the right fit for your travels.

The 30-day return period starts on the day your order is delivered. Return shipping costs, currency conversion fees, duties, taxes, or other return-related costs may be the customer’s responsibility.

Items purchased from a retailer other than Solgaard.co must be returned through the original retailer.

When will my Solgaard luggage order ship?

Solgaard luggage orders begin processing shortly after checkout. Orders can only be canceled within the first 15 minutes after they are placed; after that, the order is locked as it prepares for fulfillment.

Once your order ships, you’ll receive a confirmation email with tracking details so you can follow your luggage on its way to you.

Does Solgaard ship luggage internationally, and are duties or taxes included?

Solgaard ships luggage to select international destinations. Duties, taxes, customs fees, brokerage fees, or import charges may vary depending on the destination country.

For orders shipped to the United States and Canada, duties are prepaid and included in the order. For other international destinations, taxes, duties, customs fees, brokerage fees, or import charges may apply and may be the customer’s responsibility.

Customs policies vary by country, and international shipments may be subject to customs checks, delays, or additional charges. We recommend checking with your local customs or import office before placing an international order.
