5 Ways to Better Manage Your Time

Time management is a skill that takes time to develop and is different for each person. Everyone has a different method of doing their work. You just need to find what works best for you. 

Delegate Tasks: Delegation is not running away from your responsibilities but is an important function of management. Learn the art of delegating work to your subordinates as per their skills and abilities.

Prioritize Work: Before the start of the day, make a list of tasks that need your immediate attention so you don’t allow the more unimportant tasks to consume much of your time causing the important ones not to get completed. 

Avoid Multitasking: Most of us have grown up believing multitasking is an efficient way of getting things done but the truth is that we do much better work and complete tasks faster, when we focus and concentrate on one thing. Multitasking disrupts productivity.

Start Early: Most of the successful men and women have one thing in common. They start their day early as it gives them time to sit, think, and plan their day. There are some people who also prefer the strategy of staying up later to complete tasks, you need to find what suits your body and mind better.

Learn to say No: Think about what you have on your plate before accepting any extra tasks to help out a colleague. Politely refuse to accept additional tasks if you are overloaded.
