Which check-in luggage is right for you?

Frequently Asked Questions
What counts as checked luggage?
Checked luggage is the bag you hand to the airline. It travels in the cargo hold, not the overhead bin. Solgaard Check-In Closet Medium and Large are built for that. Carry-ons stay in the cabin.
What are the maximum dimensions of checked luggage?
Airlines set their own limits. Check-In Closet Medium is 24.8 x 14.5 x 11.8 in. Large is 28.3 x 17.3 x 14.5 in. Most carriers accept both. Confirm your airline's size and weight before you fly.
Can you lock checked luggage?
Yes. Original and Lite check-ins include a TSA-approved combination lock. TSA can open it with their tools and relock it. A lock that is not TSA-approved can be cut during inspection.
How should I choose the right size luggage for my trip?
Medium is the 10 to 15 day trunk. Choose Large for longer trips or when you are sharing a bag. Original is the aluminum-frame pinch-lock. Lite is the lighter zippered shell with the same check-in sizes.
