Why Solgaard
Frequently Asked Questions
What is a power bank, and what does it do?
A power bank is a portable battery that charges your phone and other USB devices when you are away from an outlet. Solgaard's solar power banks also take a USB-C wall charge and a top-up from sunlight.
What is a watt hour?
A watt hour is how much energy the battery stores. A higher number runs a device longer. Solgaard lists capacity as phone charges instead of watt hours: a full Solarbank is about 4 to 5 phone charges. Check the product page for the current milliamp-hour rating.
How long will the power bank run my device?
A full Solarbank covers about 4 to 5 phone charges. The Boombox uses the same kind of battery for USB devices and for its speaker, so music time and phone charges come out of one charge. Sunlight maintains the battery. It is slow as the only way to fill an empty bank. Charge from the wall, then let the sun top it up.
